Sunlander, Spirit of Tropics, Queenslander -
3900 class electric loco to Rockhampton thence diesel (usually 2800 class)
beyond Rocky.
Spirit of Outback -
3900 to Emerald, thence diesel (usually 2400/1720 combo) beyond Emerald.
Westlander -
2100 or 2400 diesel.
Inlander -
Not sure exactly but likely to be 2800. Mr. Georgee may wish to clarify.
Spirit of Capricorn -
Electric Tilt train except Saturday northbound and Sunday southbound which
are electric ICE units.
Gulflander -
RM93 and ex NSW sitting car gauge converted. (Mr. Georgee, please confirm)
Savannahlander -
2 x 2000 class railmotors
Kuranda scenic tour train -
Usually 1720 class diesel but has been known to use steam from time to time.

Great South Pacific Express
NR class Sydney - Brisbane
3900 class Brisbane - Rockhampton
2800 class Rocky - Cairns
2 x 1720 class Cairns - Kuranda (unless the track has been strengthened).
There are still 6 morning peak and 4 afternoon peak suburban services
utilising loco hauled SX sets. These are normally hauled by 3900 EL, 1520 or
2400 DEL and occasionally a 2100 class. Once, the AM Shorncliffe service
(4A07/39P2) was worked with a 2300 (2322)
During the 'Ekka' (Royal Show), an SX set with DD17 steam loco provides a
timetabled circular service between the show and city stations.
