The G.A. set forth exceptions to this rule. I think all of the dwarf signals on
the "old" SG, Somerton to name one, were excepted from the rule that "the speed
restriction applies for the whole of the section to the next fixed signal" All
of the home departures from #2 road on "the gauge" were also excepted from this
rule.

Note, these were exceptions and always had to be specifically specified as
exceptions in the G.A. or special instructions, otherwise you had to do low
speed or medium speed all the way to the next signal.
