The aerial thing as you call it would have to be a Pantograph, and If
so, a "Spark" can run in service with three or even two panto's up and
there should be no reason why the lights would not work, as long as
power is getting to the train all should be ok, bare in mind though if a
"Spark" is running with only three or two panto's or even one, it
normally means that a traction motor or a motor of some kind has failed
and the driver has been forced to cut out the motor, naturally of course
the less panto's the slower the train.
