It has been standard practice in Sydney to stop just before the platofrm (if
not tabled to stopat that station) for years - haven/t seen anything written
about it, but just about all of the drivers seem to do it.

Whilst there is nothing wrong with passngers getting on there, you can bet
your life, they will bitch and whine when the train does not stop at "their"
station (totally forgetting it was not "their" train, of course!)
