When Melbourne first had a 4 zone system in the very early 1980
's they had 2 hour, 3 hour and daily.  Two 2 hour tickets were 
cheaper than a daily.  So if you went to work in the morning you
would buy a 2 hour ticket and again on the way home.

Then the neighboughood system got rid of this.

Now with metacrd they think every one buys 2 hour tickets.
With the trams and now with this metcard 10X2hr.  Maybe they
did their homework for what tickets people buy from the early
1980's.  Could explain no dailys on trams and no metcard 10 
for dailys.
