This is the same John Brew who, as head of the State Transit Authority,
stopped the fitting of safety flaps to the rear doors of STA buses by
closing the Chullora Bus Workshops and then not requiring the private
contractors whom he then employed to do this safety work. New buses he
was responsible for purchasing were not fitted with these safety flaps
and STA has had to retrofit safety flaps at considerable cost to
overcome problems with children caught in the rear doors.

The same John Brew, a civil engineer, in the position of Chief
Mechanical Engineer for the SRA decided to purchase the Tangarra bogies
which are a current major problem for CityRail. As an expert!!!!! he
knew better than the SRA's mechanical personnel who correctly forecast
the problems which would occur with the Tangarra bogies.

Once a stooge, always a stooge!
