You'll probably get answers in the negative, but I suppose it depends
on how often you do it.

In Odemis, Turkey in 1987, the loco hauling the Odemis mixed had to be
split to turn it on a small turntable. The tender was uncoupled and
shunted "on the fly" with the fireman furiously operating the
handbrake to stop it on the turntable (which was on a stub siding).
The tender was turned then the loco came up, pushed the tender off the
turntable, turned, recoupled and the crew then "booked off" for lunch.

They didn't seem to have any second thoughts about doing it, and it
was a regular steam turn, so it must have been a regular event.
