Newspapers say PTC Sale is back to March'99?

Read the papers here in Lovely Sunny Wodonga, and you would be excused if
you thought that the Big Fire Sale of V/Line is out the door for at least a
Year!
Outher "insider" info to hand suggests that Victorian Government has
already made the necessary application to the Federal Government
to dispose of the lot, including Track and Infrastructure, as is required
by the Dept. of Defence ACT blah...blah...
The date could be the 24th of April 98. at close of Business.
Newspapers have also alerted us to the fact that Marinus Van O.
[remember] after 18 months with BoxCar after leaving V/Line, and leaving a
broken down system, in the best condition that anybody
could possibly imagine, is now head of a newly formed Consortium, with
MegaBucks to spend. Which is now Hot favourite at Spring Street to Get at
least V/Line Freight.
