Trains are not well suited to pickup only (or setdown only) and
passengers want to catch the train that gets them to the destination
first, and fining them for that would probably lose some of them to
cars. If the Southern Highlands train's so well patronised, maybe the
frequency should be increased. Your earlier posting seems to indicate
that there are enough seats for everyone but you couldn't find two
together for a fraction of the journey - so I agree with Bill Bolton. If
all seats are filled, perhaps passengers should be told that anyone
going past Campbelltown has seat priority, or maybe introduce optional
seat reservation. Also, if Glenfield is so poorly used by Southern
Highlands passengers, maybe they should lose that stop and have the five
people change trains at Campbelltown.
