Re: Number Of Platforms At CBD Stations

Adding to other answers:
The distinction between Sydney Terminal and Sydney Central has changed.
AFAIK pfm 4-15 have been relabelled Central; the term Terminal is reserved
for the Countrylink platforms, 1-3. There are some discrepancies between
the names on the seats on platforms and the names dangling from the
verandah.
The two never-commissioned platforms at Central have been planned for
various projects; there was even an idea to use then as the VFT terminus.

Keswick Adelaide RPT isn't CBD, although it matches the spirit of the
original thread. However, it should be counted as seven platforms: four
metro and three long-distance.

Nobody has replied with Perth yet:
AFAIK the city station has four through platforms and two dock platforms.
Perth terminal has two sg platforms: the long main one, plus a dock (now
shortened and no longer used for passenger services); also two suburban
platforms.

If Keswick is to be counted, South Brisbane must rate a mention: formerly
one sg plus six ng? Now two or three ng with no sg.

AFAIK Hobart had six platform faces (three double sided fingers).
