That dates back to pre-Central Electric days.  The Up/Down Bankstown Line services Platforms 9 through to 15.  The
Up/Down Main Line services Platforms 1 though to 4.

My question is:  If the Up/Down Suburban lines continue into Sydney Yard, servicing Platforms 5 through to 8, how can
they also continue to Central Electric servicing platforms 16 & 18?????
