Re: My how we all enjoy a good fight

As an editor myself, I never claim to know everything but it does not
preclude me from pointing out errors in things others do. That's an editor's
job.
But an editor also has to cop flack as well.
The fact that no one soul knows everything is reason enough to take
criticism on the chin and learn from it.
How are you going to handle readers complaining about unanswered letters or
late subscriptions?
How are you going to handle it when readers point out errors in your copy
because I can assure you, you will make errors.
By the way, if you going to tell everyone to grow up, comments such as
"As of today I am not going to even look or respond to this idiotic group
any more."
do not show off your mature-side too well...
It's also a pretty silly thing to do. There aren't too many other places
where you will find up to the minute information and be able to have
technical questions answered for free and quickly.
