86-class locomotives in the Blue Mountains.



Yes, they are still hanging around, primarily in quad's on coal traffic, but
they tend to be few and far between, and in many respects you have to be lucky
to catch them.  It should be stated, however, that with the current state of the
coal industry in the Lithgow area, the number of coal trains operating has also
declined quite dramatically.

>From what I am hearing from other sources, Glenlee coal traffic seems to be
getting a boost on a fairly regular, but periodic, basis, and the electrics are
getting a good workout on this traffic.
