A similar situation on the Carlingford Line. A few weeks ago I had to make a
return trip from Telopea to Rosehill just before 7pm on a weekday. The automatic
ticket machine at Telopea was closed (but was working again early next morning)
and there is no machine at all at Rosehill. On the return trip I went to Camillia
instead of Rosehill - at least there is an Authority To Travel machine there - but
it too had closed down for the night.

What is the problem with keeping the machines operating at night on the
Carlingford Line?
