When I said it was easy to keep up with I, meant for the entire
distance from Fish River to Picton. I too left it at Exeter, went on
the freeway to Picton and got there about 5 minutes before it. Further
to your comment about the WA locos not powering, perhaps whoever it
was riding in the cabs of these locos had something to do with the
locos occasionally coming on line? In one of the scenes I recorded I
can see strong exhaust plumes coming from the locos!
