Much of the information sought on the withdrawals, etc., of the 85/86
class has appeared in The Railway News, also repaintingf of the 85
class.

There are no 85 class in traffic and only 18 of the 86s AVAILABLE for
traffic if required.   They are used as "units of last resort" for
coal tran workings between Lithgow and Port Kembla - amd so you takes
your chances!
