Train travellers can soon step back in time when a steam train is
brought on line between Melbourne and Warnambool. A 1950's steam train
is having a $1 million upgrade for an old fashioned trip for tourists to
the whale watching region. West Coast Railway chairman Don Gibson said
the service would start on September 26. It will also include a silver
service dining car used on the Southern Aurora trip between Sydney and
Melbourne.
