Could this be the end of the line for these historically interesting but
surprisingly noisy and uncomfortable trams?

Having recently ridden trams in Melbournme, and the Firema trams in Manchester
and the GT6 sets in Berlin, the ride and passenger accommodation quality of the
Ws
leaves much to be desired.

The Manchester trams positively glide across pointwork, the GT6 cars ride a
little more lumpily but are still very quiet and comfortable.
