S310 and S301 were at Geelong loco today (9/1.

We also use S311.  Yes S302 has a distinctly different sound.  Not too
sure about the ducting arrangements - a major improvement in cab noise
level is made through the use of a "sound wall".  If you take a look in
the leading 'porthole' window on a WCR S, you can see there's 2 walls -
the original one at the back of the electrical cabinet, and the "sound
wall" behind this.
