Sims Street Junction.

I notice that the name Sims Street Junction is being used in various
places. The name for this area is South Dynon Junction and has been so
for many years. Is this a unofficial name for the location given that it
is above Sims Street or has there been a name change? And if there has
been a name change, is it official and what is the date of the change?

Another name that has cropped up in recent years is Richmond Junction.
This junction was formerly the misleading Jolimont Junction (it was
never a junction to Jolimont) but was located where Jolimont Road turns
the corner and becomes Brunton Avenue. Perhaps it should have been
Jolimont Road Junction? Incidently Jolimont Road once kept on going
across towards the river and there was a set of interlocked gates worked
from the nearby signal box. It was also named Jolimont Junction.

Any help would be appreciated because if name changes are going to be
made in an unofficial way at first then the date of change should be
noted for future historians.
