The old Maitland signal box would be an excellent location. Looking
back towards High Street station you would have XPTs, 620s,
Endeavours/Explorers approaching Maitland station. NR freights and FC
coalies approaching at 50 km/h. In the background in Maitland yard RSA
stows a numbers of track machines as well as the rail grinder. At the
loading bank occasionally a BBW is loaded with coal for 3801.

Another possibility would be to broadcast radio transmissions to/from
the new Maitland signal box over the net to complement the cam.
Locally Maitland box is known as "Radio Australia - Broadcasting to
the world!"
