La Poste reveals international ambitions
The French mail service, La Poste, follows the international trend and has
entered a foreign market by acquiring Denkhaus, a German parcel service.
Mr. Claude Boumaud, president of La Poste, has announced the international
expansion of his company through co-operation with the Spanish mail
service, Correos y Telegrafos. The Spanish partner will acquire a 50%
stake in Chronopost, subsidiary of La Poste.

TNT snatches away Jet Services from Deutsche Post
The European mail business has started its Christmas shopping tour throughout
Europe. TNT Post Group, from the Netherlands and Deutsche Post from
Germany are competing for the European market acquiring companies throughout
the continent. Jet Services, the French courier, has finally opted for
TNT, which will deposit 50 billion pesetas at the cashier.
