Apparently, the north west corner land* at the intersection of Burwood
Highway and Stud Road - opposite Knox City - was owned by the Melbourne &
Metropolitan Tramways Board for many years until it became fashionable to
sell off public (i.e. our) land without consultation.   A depot site,
presumably, and remarkable foresight.

* the creek cuts diagonally across it.
