Beecroft Bank

At about 6pm today I observed a down NR Steel hauled by 2 NR Class slowly
moving through Cheltenham station.  The steel train backed onto another NR
freight just past the signal at the end of Cheltenham station.  The NR
container freight extended all the way to signal just before Beecroft
station. It was also hauled by 2 NR Class (one being one of the indigenous
painted units).  Even with assistance from the rear the extended train had
a great deal of difficulty in lifting its load. It eventually cleared the
section at approx. 5.25 pm. It was travelling at a fair old rate of knots
by the time the last freight car cleared the section.
