EsperAnce is about four hours' drive by car south of Kalgoorlie. There is
no passenger service run by Westrail however a Westrail road coach does run
there. A private company sometimes runs tourist trains to Esperance out of
Kal using Prospector Rollingstock. I understand this service is to happen
again this year. Best time of year is Autumn Spring.

Esperance is known by locals as "Kalgoorlie Beach" and aside from a very
flash Iron ore loading facility at the port and a pretty good museum with
Skylab relics and other pieces of memorabilia Esperance's main claim to
fame is azure blue water, miles and miles and miles of endless, unpolluted
beach, good surf and lots of interesting islands.

Hope this helps.
