What about Granville, where the Carlingford line crosses the Great Western
Highway? Although I seem to recall plans to build a road underpass there...
There are still some level crossings on some goods lines, although many of
those are no longer used.
This is still quite impressive, because Melbourne, for example, has a zillion
level crossings in the Met.
Is the lack of level crossings in Sydney mostly a function of geography
(Melbourne is much flatter) or a deliberate design objective to minimise
the number of level crossings? Or both?
