Hi Mark & all newsgroupies.

The monument refered to is a nice simple tribute. A large rock of local
origin, with a plaque of rememberence, presumably noting the victims
names as well, is placed approx. 10m form the SG mainline, at the level
crossing (the road name eludes me) where the collison occured.

I cannot help you with a photo of the monument, I s'pose if I'm in the
vacinity for gunzelling purposes any time, I could grab a snap or two.

Note : I still vividly remember the day. It was my very first day of
secondary school and my Grandmother was a passenger on that train !!
Whilst she wasn't among the injured, it was none-the-less a rather
harrowing time for our family when we learned of the crash. For some
reason, she was rather hesitant about travelling back on it too, a
couple of months later.

I hope this satisfies your curiousity Mark.

Cheers all.
