I also saw the SLR for the first time yesterday. First impressions were
very good. Sitting so close to the ground was a little unusual compared to
Melbourne, however I did notice the Variotrams took the corners faster
then Met trams. Running along Hay St was a bit slower than I would have
expected. Perhaps speeds will increase as people get used to the trams.
Casino must be one of the most impressive "tram" stops in the world. It
is certainly on par with the best European light rail stations.

The only criticism I have is the lontitudunal seats next to the wheelchair
doors should be folding, much in the same was as the folding seats in
Melbourne's Comeng trains. A motorised wheelchair takes up a lot of space.
