I think that "Tram Museum" was called "Melbourne" ;-)

No seriously, I believe that the Shed shots were at South Melbourne depot,
which was then of course still in operation. It has just been sold, and the
access from Kingsway was removed last week. The building is still there if
you want a look, but no trams. (BTW, the short 20m or so of track that was
re-laid in Kingsway when the points were removed: Does anyone know if this
was the first use of concrete sleepers on the trams in Melbourne? I know
they have ordered 20,000 of them, so it definitely won't be the last)

Other places which featured in Malcolm (from memory) were the curve outside
Parliament House at Bourke/Spring St. This has now changed with the
addition of the CIty Circle track.

Also, a scene was shot in Mt. Alexander Rd. (where the guy on the motorbike
stops and scratches his head)

The (then) single track bridge over the Epping line between St. Georges Rd
and High St. in Northcote also featured.

There was one street scene in either Smith St, or Brunswick St, (I think).

I wonder where the little tram which was used in the film is now? It does
exists, as I saw it at the centenary exhibition for the Box Hill tram a
number of years ago. Supposedly, it actually is a fully operational tram.

Anyway that's all I can remember.
