I rode on the last train that could even remotely be called the
Southern Aurora a few years back. It was offically the Sydney Express at
the time. Southern Aurora sleeping cars.
Been replaced by an XPT.

The XPT's carry one 'twinette' sleeping car. 18 berths, book early,
its only one sleeping car, they tend to book out early, even with the
premium fare to turn people off the idea. Its cheaper to fly between the
cities.
