This was written up in the Government newsletter being distributed to all
households in Victoria. Presumably, the line will leave the current
alignment just west of the Punt Road intersection. If it is linked up
with Flinders Street, it would make sense to re-route the East Burwood
service along Swan Street and put Wattle Park on the slower route along
Bridge Road. Whatever happens, it will change a quiet route forever, and
remove a link with the Hawthorn Tramways Trust.
