Which government?

I think they moved it out for Expo 88 but I'm not certain of this..
they put the Expo Fun Park on the other side of the station where the
entrance to the interstate platforms was...

Actually, I don't really care because either way, Countrylink still
only send one XPT to Brisbane per day, and it's damn expensive and
slow to get to Sydney on it so everyone who's anyone catches a plane
and everyone who isn't takes the coach (which is 3 hours faster.)
