Shows what rail is up against... the Pacific Highway between the Gold
Coast and Newcastle is still one of the worst roads in Australia for an
interstate link and coach travel, with all the detours and rest stops,
still has that kind of advantage. Wonder what kind of improvements to
rail the $1 billion earmarked for the PH duplication could buy.
