The GM1 class manual issued to Commonwealth Railways
Drivers was called:-
"How to drive a CLYDE-GM Diesel Locomotive Mainliner
Model 1".
It had a drawing of a blue and white EMD F series
numbered 567 on the cover.!!

567, blue and white .....that should ring a bell
amongst Electro-Motive fans.

The Introduction page said and I quote;
"The Diesel Electric Locomotive is a new product on
Australian Railways. It is much easier to operate than
a Steam Locomotive but it is also radically different."

The Clyde manual for the early GM12 series was titled:-
"CLYDE-GM 1750 HP Model A Diesel Electric Locomotive."

The manual issued for GM's 30 to 39 was titled:-
"CLYDE-GM 1800 HP Model A Diesel Electric Locomotive."
