Diversions on Short South Sat 13 December

I spent the day on the Short South yesterday, mainly around Menangle.

As well as the usual NR freights that go to make Saturday a good day
for photography and video, there were also a good number of coalies
diverted to run via the Short South and Moss Vale to Unanderra lines.
These were generally hauled by double 81's with the occasional triple
81 on the down loaded coal.

PB4 also ran via the South with an NR/81 combination.

I assume the divertions were because of trackwork on the Illawarra.
I'd appreciate it if someone could confirm this and, if possible, also
indicate whether there will also be diversions next weekend as well.
