This is interesting. In the original XPT proposal, there was to be 26
power cars, 66 trailers and 8 driving trailers. There were to be 8 sets of
XP-XFH-XF-XF-XBR-XBH-XP for intercity work and 6 sets of XP-XBH-XF-XF-XDF
for interurban work, plus spares.

In an ideal world the Dubbo XPT would be a Parkes/Dubbo Xplorer.
