Yes could be, whatever ARG's AD to SYD intentions,
there was an *existing* service before NRC until the
great reforms of the eighties, which decreed that all
freight, rail that is, should run via Melbourne.

BTW, the same radio news said that "new" freight
facilities would be built in Adelaide to cater for the
new AS to DAR line.!
