Several fators, the costs and time it takes to get to destination, low
publicity. So far GSR done the right thing by open this train to the public,
extension to Mel, Syd and maybe Darwin one day, improve onboard services and
more friendlier staffs compared with AN days.

Twice weekly services, similar to the Ghan there are several twice weekly
services travel/tourist trains:

Indian Pacific, West/Inlander, Spirit Of Outback/Tropics, .

I still remember not so long ago we had 4 times weekly Indian Pacific, plus
Trans Australian and Ghan ran 3 times weekly over in 1992, 1993 peak tourist
seasons.
