Included in this, explain why other types of people movers can't do the
same things. E.g. please tell us why light rail can't be elevated.

There are a few of them infesting misc.transport.urban-transit

The current and previous owners of the Sydney monorail agreed to
dismantle it, for a price. This is one of the big problems with novel
infrastructure projects - no provision is ever made for remiving it.

As to Waverley, remember the proposal is for a theme park. Monorails are
excellent as tourist attractions, but they are not public transport.
