I was referring to that vague, uninhabited area dominated by the dams like
Cordeaux Dam and Cataract Dam between the Southern Highlands corridor and
the Illawarra region. It includes the Cordeaux Colliery (which recently
closed), the Cordeaux Creek and Cordeaux Dam, so in my mind's eye I refer
to that district as "Cordeaux", nothing else really seems to fit.

Sorry for any misunderstanding.

How many collieries are in that district now anyway? Is Tower Colliery
still going? In any case, there's still plenty of coal in the southern
coalfields to generate a plethora of coal trucks along the region's roads,
clogging up passenger car traffic on the Mt. Ousley Road and Northern
Distributor and other major regional arterials.

Bring on the Maldon-Dombarton railway, I say. Those overhead stanchions
down from Unanderra look curiously lonely and unadorned.
