My records show that 44236 - 44240 were all scrapped.
44236, scrapped by Ferndale Recycling (Mar 1998)
44237, scrapped by K. Gray World Energy (Mar 1998)
44238, scrapped by Ferndale Recycling (Mar 1998)
44239, scrapped by Ferndale Recycling (Mar 1998)
44240, scrapped by Ferndale Recycling (Mar 1998)
These last 5 units of the class had parts that were common to the 80 class
are all were heavily stripped before scrapping.
Not sure about 44235.
