Fire Breaks along rail lines, was TasRail blamed for fire

Firebreaks were rigidly maintained in the steam days, none of this overgrowth
beside most lines these days. Are firebreaks along rail being ignored to the
determent of the surround land it goes through? do excessive braking cause these
fires to start ?

There was a fire somewhere on the SG through Cressy last year that started near
the rail line and casued by a trailer-rail exploding ? - and it burned out a
large area as well ? was on the TV news I recall.

>From a enthusiast point of view you might be able to see the trains better.

Or are these issues, as usual exception and can be ignored.

Regards to all.
