Re: QR team up with Virgin Blue!

I agree, my wife and I would love to do the long distance trips of Qld (we live
in Gladstone Qld), but the cost of using the sleeper is certainly not cheap if you
are paying full fare. We oerfer to leave it for weekend trips to save on AL.

However the distance is too great, the only trip we can do on a weekend
is Longreach, but leaves us with only 13hrs O/N in the town, to fly one
one is usually pricey, in fact if I had to do it, sometimes it is cheaper to
buy the return and not fly.

However a cheap oneway air ticket, packaged with a oneway rail ticket (1st class)
would be great. The old drive/train on the motor rail is now a thing of the past.
