There is some good news: Bob Carr has annouced 100 new Millennium Train
carriages, 60 suburban carriages and 40 to be intercity carriages.

This should beef up the intercity fleet and relieve the rolling stock shortage,
but of course this will be at least 2-3 years away. :(
