They had windows similar to what the second series cars have/had, but the
horizontal section you pulled open was much thinner than is current.They had
a locking horizontal clip like on the previous beclawat windows. The
prototype cars C3501-C3504 + C3350 and associated trailers were the only
suburban cars I know of to ever have carried the sticker "Air Conditioned".

C3509 is paired to T4213, T4175 is paired to C3517 and have been since the
1980's.

C3551-C3580 and pairs T4217-T4246 were introduced as force ventilated cars
with normal beclawat opening windows. They were subsequently modified in the
mid 1980's (?) to their current standard. C3580 is now with T4243, T4246 is
with C3577. C3550/T4216 entered service with the same windows as C3501-C3504
and pairs D4096-D4099.
