Janes World Railways 1972-73 edition. NSW Railways....

Sleepers: Australian hardwood 9 * 4.5 inches * 8 feet (228 * 114 * 2438 mm)

24 inch (609mm) sleeper spacing except at rail joints where 18-20 inch. New
construction and rebuilding spacing was 20-22 inch.

Concrete sleepers: 12 * 8 inch * 8 feet (305 * 203 * 2438 mm)
