According to MX today the campaign is to "encourage commuters to pre
purchase their tickets form retailers." Now that I think about it all the
Metcards shown in the T.V. ad are retail versions with the information on
front. There is no suggestion to pre purchase them though.

The artical goes on to saythat the companies began the campaign to "make
tickets more accessible and reduce the reliance on automated ticket
machines". How can anything be automated if it doesn't work? Unless they all
dont work together that is.
