For some reason the above slogan envisions a day of mayhem and disaster 
trying to use the whole system...

0800: Attempt to purchase Metcard from ticket machine. Eftpos slot jammed 
with coins. Attempt to buy two hour ticket with coins instead, machine 
wants exact change only. Try small machine, it works.
0801: Validate ticket. Ticket eaten by validator. Give up and buy ticket 
from window with $100 note instead. Dont validate it this time.
0802: Watch a pensioner try to feed the coin slot, unsuccessfully, then 
turning to feed the eftpos slot instead. Tell pensioner the machines are 
not working and to purchase ticket from window. Pensioner loses $2. Miss 
train.
0821: Board train
0836: Fined by ticket inspectors for not validating ticket in faulty 
validator.
0855: Arrive Parliament, can't get out, ticket invalid. Use open gate 
instead. 
0902: Board tram. Validator not working. Damn.
0905: Argue with ticket inspector. Two fines so far. Watch druggo get off 
scott free because he "can't afford a ticket". Cringe.
0906: Get off tram and hail taxi to destination.

<later that day>

2130: Validate ticket successfully, for the first time today. At least the 
barriers work.
2137: Board Werribee train. Attempt to sit down, feel wet sensation. Find 
another seat that hasn't had soft drink poured on it.
2145: Held at Newport because of an overdose in another carriage. 
2252: Ambulance finally arrives, depart after OD'er taken off train.
2259: Arrive at station.
2301: Watch disabled person attempt to use broken machine, tell them to 
catch a taxi, it'll save them the bother of many adventures.
2302: Find out the last bus departed 6 hours ago. Stuff it. TAXI!!
