I recall seeing on Sports Tonight last night (20/2) about the problems of
getting people into the Stadium. A lot of the problem seems to me to be the
fact that they open the gates too late (this happened too at the NRL Double
Header last weekend where kickoff was 1840 and the gates opened at 1730 (the
crowd was 53000 odd).

However, Melbourne people going to the games have some responsilbility too -
when I was there last year, I was listening to the radio before a game and
there were people at Flinders Street trying to get to Spencer Street 5
minutes before the start of the game, obviously wanting to get to Spencer
Street.
