When a Metcard machine is faulty, it will do all of the above plus more. It
will refuse to issue a ticket after payment has been made, it will take
money and deny that it did, it will refuse to give change or a refund....

>From experiencing both, I would have to say that Sydney's are definitely
more reliable than Melbourne's.
